Established in 1947, the British Display Society was created to encourage and promote the highest standards of Visual Merchandising.

This embraced many different applications – Retail Windows, Store Presentation, Exhibitions and Museum Displays. Across the years the society has constantly maintained its professional standing and adapted to changing times within both education and the retail world it seeks to service and enhance.

Iain joined the British Display Society in 1994 as an Associate Member and in November 2013, he was awarded a Fellow of the Society. This follows many years within the VM industry and his passion for Retail/Visual Merchandising/Store Presentation.

In May 2017, Iain become a Director of The British Display Society, and in September 2018 was elected Chairman. He regularly writes for the News Talk Magazine and is a tutor/assessor for their On-Line Learning Courses.
